Duncan Sumpner, a edward III Young teacher from Oughtibridge in Sheffield, recorded a tape total of acoustic demos in 2002 and sent them off to Fat Cat Records. Persons at the label title that they loved the medicine just initially had trouble devising contact with Sumpner; at one fourth dimension they did, they scheduled the recordings for a release and they at long last appeared in 2005 below the guise of Songs of Green Pheasant (plot transcription in 2002, Sumpner had billed himself Kayak). Influenced by ambient falsettos from Simon & Garfunkel to Talk Talk’s Mark Hollis, he worked the songs up live with a adorer, and embarked on a small tour. He too began operative on a side project with Adam Davenport of Vibracathedral Orchestra.
